Welcome to DIESAT’s website!
The DIESAT – Inter-Union Department of Work, Environment and Health Researches and Studies – is a creation of the Brazilian union movement and has 28 years of existence. Founded in 1980, as a result of the resurgence of the Brazilian trade union organizations, the DIESAT was born of the debates during the Workers’ Health Meetings, which happened in the year of 1979.
DIESAT is a trade union organization, without lucrative ends, maid to advise the workers and trade unions on occupational health and safety, such as: collective bargaining and health, workers’ health, work conditions, legislation, environment, social security and worker's safety.
DIESAT is maintained with the contribution of the affiliated unions, following the philosophy of the solidarity among trade union organizations of different professional categories and economic activities.
Trough the association of trade union organizations to DIESAT, the rights for better life and work conditions are strengthened. Keep our affiliated unions updated on health, work and environment is one of our main tasks. Throughout its 28 years of history, the Diesat is recognized as an institution that produces scientific work and has earned itself national and international credibility. • Yearly Statistics on Health and Safety in Brazil;
• OHS and Environment public policies;

Our goal
Promote, create, deploy, prospect, encourage, strengthen policies and rights in the Health, Labor and Environment, advising trade union and social organizations with information, studies and researches and developing public policies on Health, Labor and Environment.
DIESAT Structure
The DIESAT have the following management structure:
• The National Union Management, responsible for political orientation, planning, evaluation, guidelines and budget;
• The Technical Coordination that follows up the planning implementation, coordinates the work of all the staff and evaluate ongoing project and new proposals;
• The Administrative and Financial Coordination, responsible for budget implementation, audit report and staff procedures.
